Stress Assassin – Carrier Track
Label: Spiral Trax
Release date: 8 September 2003

‘Carrier Track’ is the second album from Stress Assassin, one of Sweden’s most distinguished dub producers.
His debut album, ‘Within the office of eye and ear’ from last year, was a huge success and received great reviews everywhere.
The Swedish music magazine, ‘Groove’ even claimed it to be “…one of the best albums of the year”!

Stress Assassin is Henrik Jonsson, a dedicated graffiti artist and a collector of 70’s dub records.
Henrik has a broad artistic background: He has been studying in an art academy for three years, played in various bands and simultaneously participated in many exhibitions. Additionally, he has performed on open stages for expressionistic art, combining music and visual arts with parties.

On ‘Carrier Track’ Henrik takes us on a journey down the dirty, dusty roads of dub, through lush, vast ambient landscapes to downbeat grooves from the Scandinavian shores.

Or in his own words:

“Carrier Track
This is the 2nd Stress Assassin album for Spiral Trax.
Slow music, observations, memories, sketches...
The Stress Assassin project works with the states one would experience,
Like when you swim in the ocean under the surface
Or when exploring long concrete tunnels,
Taking a walk straight into a forest, what ever.
That’s just what this music is about, a soundtrack, a picture in sound,
Or better yet a carrier track…”

Track listing:
1. Cartoon City
2. Mountain
3. Death for a living
4. I. Depth
5. Montecristo
6. Me We

I'll check your words Christian, with curiosity, because I must say the first release was not an highlight in my opinion... Tracks sounded too much 'similar'....

.. but i'll pay some attention on this release, no doubt !

Peace !           .

amazing cd. different from the first one. stress takes it even farther and makes the journey very intersting and diverse.
i can hear all kinda influences here from apthex twin to violins and it all served in dubby package.

stress is for sure a true musician that is not afraid to explore the world of sounds.

very recommandad cd. if u are looking for smt that is not like the regular psychillout.

i enjoy every second.

the more u see the less u feel

Stress Assassin dub chill loveliness.. The first Cd was mind blowingly good - extremely subliminal moments. 'Carrier Track' doesn't quite hit the mark for me as the first CD but still has great moments especially the first half of the CD
