Stockholm Trance Festival.. For real??

The 20th to 23 of july are swedens first real trance-festival taking place.. and im thinking.. How in the HE** are this event going to take place? For most europeans are softdrugs like grass, mushrooms etc.. no big deal, but in sweden the case is totally different. The government and police are using, whats called.. a "zero-tollerance" against any form of illegal substances. I've been to numerous festivals in europe, and what allways strikes me.. is the open attitude against drugs.
Now to my question.. If this event takes place? how are the organizers going to keep people from not using drugs on the area?
One thing is for shure.. if the cops see stoned people in the area.. they will for shure shut the event down.
No one wants this festival more than i do.. my first thought on my first Voov-experience, was that.. damn!if we could have an event like this at home.. and now it looks like it's gonna happen.. so how are we going to make this an event that lasts more than once? Be shure of massive media coverage..

but it isn´t even half as nice without drugs (my personal opinion of course, but I think I´m not alone)the music is best combined with certain drugs. It´s like a package deal

Give me a break, lets hope people will go there because of music... eerr, what a well-worn cliche, some will some dont, but there's no chance to control the behaviour of thousans of people so prepare yourselves for public bashing, if this event is gonna happen.
Anyhow, all the best with the event. Its too bad that we don't have a say what is good for us and what isn't... |

its about the music not the drugs.. if you cant feel the music without drugs then what can you feel, at all?

Indeed it's about the music, but imo music and drugs go hand in hand. And with drugs you can multibly those wonderful feelings by a 100.
Do you like rollercosters?
No drugs = running. With drugs = rollercoster + +   Edit: Ok, a "bad" example, but surly you get my point, no?

sure i get the point that drugs can be fun sometimes, ive done drugs in my time as well but to say that itll be just halv the fun without drugs is just plain stupid, then your an addict and not a music lover..
well, lets not make this thread bout doing or not doing drugs etc, its a never fuckin ending story |

I was not speaking for or against drugs, just pointed out that most likely the public eye will catch quite a few people on drugs if this sort of event is gonna take place, therefore its somewhat useless to hope people will come there only for music.

Yeah, this "Stockholm Trance Festival", what a cool sounding name, they have made ads for it for 3 years now but so far the festival has never occured. Just look at their homepage, they have no information about the festival itself, but they DO sell t-shirts promoting it. Yes that's right, they sell t-shirts for a festival that so far has never taken place in history... That must be just about the lamest thing I've ever seen.  Ut ameris, amabilis esto. |
