just wondering what is prefered or most suitable to get a good stereo field with!!
i use stereo enhancers on stero chanels,but doesnt seem 2 be the same as using 2 mono;s and then panning
what do u think? |

It often works best to use mono channels for drums and pan those. If you can use mono, go for it; using too many stereo tracks tends to result in an undefined mix, especially when you start panning those stereo tracks.
If you want enhanced stereo width you can also send the same sound to 2 mono channels, pan one channel left, the other right and delay one of these by a few milliseconds. As you gradually increase the delaytime , you will hear a hyper-stereo effect. A delay that is too long will result in an artificial sound tho. |
