Greetings fellow psyheads .......

i'm looking for suggestions to achieve the following in cubase / nuendo :

i've got a stereo interleaved track (which is left channel heavy) and i want to flip it so that the left and right channels / signals are exchanged.

what i'm looking at is to combine the original and flipped audio tracks to get an equal weighted mix track (all within the box).

spent a lot of time trying to figure this out but can't get my head around it.

any plug-in recommendations that can help me do the trick?

thanx

You shouldn't need to do any flipping or combining or use any plugins. In the channel's mixer window, right-click on the panner and select "Stereo Dual Panner" - this gives you individual pan controls for both sides of the audio file and allows you to pan them anywhere you like. Since the method you talk about above will result in a mono audio file, all you have to do is <ctrl>-click each pan control to bring it into the centre and you'll achieve the identical result.

instead of flip left-right, try using Merge           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
