Stereo Enhancer for mastering?

I have started experimenting with the new Aire stereo enhancer in PT8, and found it quite interesting when used for mastering. It seems a little goes a long way...
and the effect can also easily be overused.

Can you please share experiences/recommendations for mastering tracks with such an effect?

Looking forward to your answers...

I did ask this in the mastering mother a few days ago, no one seemed to see, so I try here...

I can see a point for using stereo enhancer plug ins on other people's tunes that haven't done much work with their stereo field, but when doing my own stuff, I don't apply stereo enhancer plug ins on the final mix.
Mixing big stereo sounds with mono ones, helps with separating leads that are somewhat conflicting in frequencies, so I just take care of doing all the work in the arrangement/mix down.
Basically I try to avoid any stereo enhancing plug ins (although Logic 8 has some great ones) and just sort out the patch with panning oscillators is a synth patch or double up synth parts, slightly detuned/off time and pan them.
That does the trick as far as I am concerned.

i use steinberg stereoexpander for mastering. Sometimes very little, but almost in every track. It just works! =)           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

How do you use it Medea?
I have so far only used it very minimally before the maximizer and after an eq. I feel a little goes a long way. Do you also stereoexpand the lows or just the mids and highs?           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

a little goes a very long way! like with other M/S processing, i tend to try and find the point where i can hear the effect working, then knock it back a few notches, then listen to the mix again.

i have used the Ozone widener in the past, because it's got really useful features (adjustable crossover freqs, delays, phase meter).

recently however i bought one of these for 10 euros on ebay:

Upavas, i use it right before limiter, usually 75% to the right side is enough or more than enough, depends on the mix. I don't care of widening only mid and high frequencies, because in my mixes low freqs are usually mono, so widening won't apply to them.           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

It's a good tool but don't use it on low frequencies put a filter after the plug in, sometimes the stereo tool come with that feature already and always check your mix in mono.
It does good for high freqs and "opens" the mix.

Sometimes it can be useful. SOMETIMES. When a song REALLY asks for it. Best one IMO is Flux Stereo Tool. And it's free. Google for it.           https://www.facebook.com/BiijahRecords

ozone multiband ms delays create terrible phase , just check if it works in mono too..

im using FL native mixer "stereo width" usualy if needed (more for making mono then open the stereo but that happens too)

for mastering wablabs native plug is just doing the job exacly as i imagine it should           www.sattelbattle.com
