Hey ppl... I have one doubt about stereo files...
Let´s say I have a 4bar of kick-bass on audio file. The L and R sides looks and sound the same...
Now I use a filter on this file, and automate it. Then export to wav...
Now my doubt: sometimes the L and R chanels sounds too different(the main problem is that one channel go too much high)... What do u ppl prefer to do?
1)Using it like this, with the volume difference...
2)Make it mono file, and use only the "best" channel...
3)Make it stereo, using the "best" channel...
4)Try to make both channel sound the same volume(let´s say opening the file and normalizing both channels)...
Thanks in advance!

why the the channels are not the same? check the filter your using.
i suggest to leave it in stereo. maybe a slight compression.

3)Make it stereo, using the "best" channel...
is maybe what i would do... but i often have my bass and kick in mono..
stereo or mono is a tricky discussion...
some will say this and some will say that..
many people advocate mono for bass sounds.. but i guess just as many advocate stereo...
maybe somebody has some answers...

Hey Billy! The channels are not the same cause of the filter.
The problem about using it this way, is that I can´t reach the "power" I want with this trick...
Colin, are u there???

UnderTow is right. Fix the filtering.
It sounds like you are using a mono filter on a stereo track, which will mean that only one channel is being processed - probably the left-hand channel. If you want you can use only the channel which is being processed, and discard the other one. If you think it's now too quiet, remember what the volume fader is for
