The Long Run is an amazing story (since he was writing as Bachman) and i heard they are preparing a movie with it which has to be absolutely stunning.

Other than that he is a good writer but his latest works are not up to the hype.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I still quite like Pin-up (the novella that "The Shawshank Redemption" is based on) and Dolores Claiborne. Other than that I think his work is of negligible literaric value. I used to read a lot of his stuff when I was a kid, but nowadays it's not my cup of tea at all.

In contrast to you, Detox, I'd say he's a good storyteller, but not a good writer But I guess that's not what he aspires to be anyway.

The Shining gave me nightmares after the first 30 pages. Imagine what the rest of the book would do to me. Probably my mind was playing tricks , but i couldn't ignore the fact that it was because of what i had read. Im a bit scared to pick up the book now.           missing plug-in
