It sounds like what you are looking for is a drum vst that has step sequencing capabilities like the Redrum in Reason?

where the Modulator Gain is the Itensity of the sound

black fx is bypass, and modulator is no sound

Sugarbytes era is very good for this

and also sonic charge microtonic (better for monotonous percussive sequences)

Step Designer is what you are looking for. If you are using SX3. I love the step designer for everything...bass, leads, pads....
