Hey everybody ,
I just got my copy of Cubase 6.5 and I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who use RETROLOGUE to create basslines and other effects? It looks and sounds great. I've been throught the presets and trying to get any decent sound for bassline but not much luck.
My challenge is to creat a track using cubase 6.5 with its build-ins VSTi and effects vst only. ( RETROLOGUE, PADSHOP, MONOLGUE, SPECTOR....)
Any one got tips ?
CUBASE 6.5 ONLY ( Not third-party Plug-ins comments PLS)
Thank you Isratrance

Nice approach using just the native plugins for producing: you'll learn a lot more that way!
And yeah, the native plugins are only what you need to make good tunes. Learn them first, what every parameter and knob does, and you'll get there
Looking at RETROLOGUE, nice and powerful. I'll bet with you that you can make a whole psy track with just that synth
But forget about presets man, start with an Init preset where everything is off, and build your sounds from there.
Happy tweaking

First of all thank you guys. I'm so glad people got in touch and are sharing experience.
After few years struggling in endless world of VSTs I just decided to give up and work in what Steinberg/Yamaha have to offer, which in my opinion ( and yours ) it's all I need to create a great psy tracks.
I just upgraded to v6.5 and going through the new features of this version. ( Padshop, Retrologue, EQ DJ, Comping tool.....etc).

I don't use it for basslines (I can't seem to find a env retrigger so the notes don't sound totally stable in MIDI, but I'm sure it could be done by sampling your notes.)

I couldn't do much so far relative to basslines with RETROLOGUE but I guess I need to know it inside out so I can use it together with other tools to get the right bass sounds.

The only reason why I went through its presets was simply to know what is had to offer in first place. Which was not to bad. ;-)
Soon I end the new track I'll make it avaliable for download here so other people can use it and remix within Cubase 6.5. In meantime I will get back into the studio and will try to figure out want this new version have to offer me.
Thank for the replies and more advices would be really welcome.
