Static from monitors

Latley ive been noticing that my
monitors are producing a strange a strange
static like noise, even when nothing
is playing...it kind of sounds like
a CPU's internal noise or something...
its really distracting when im trying
to make music...
is this a problem I can fix? At first
I thought this might be due to extreme
cpu usange, but I doubt it, I only
have msn, skype, and some torrents open
and I have a core 2 duo processor...
maybe its something in the sound
settings? :s
any ideas? |

i have such static when my video card is in high usage, and the character of the noise is dependant on what it is on the screen.
the first step of removing this noise is to put your sound card (if you have PCI one) in the further slot related to video card.
also much depends on your motherboard (i think you have p5b-family right?)

in my case that was due to the power supply
put all the power connectors into one contact strip close to each other...if you connect them into different plug sockets there is voltage running between them creating noise...
try it...it helped in my case... |

i get it when electricity goes off..
then studio stay on u.p.s that allow me to save the project.
in this 2-3 the monitors tend to have static noise so i turn them off immidetly cause i think its not best...
used to have static when i used beringer small mixer for my synths.. but now i just plug each when i want it to have clean record.
