How would I go about starting making darkpsy on Reason V4. I have recently gotten into making psytrance but most attempts have been horrible failures. Any tips for a newbie?
Cheers.

I have been an avid psytrance fan for sometime, I think its really the music theory part that confuses as I have no previous musical knowledge.

Choose your favorite track and place it on the timeline.

Try copy the track and see how the arrangement works.

Don't worry about being a copy cat, your first attemps won't sound anything like the original.           Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/themadpiper

Even though this is for Reason 3, it's written by Bodhi13:20

sit down. get stoned. listen to noise, over and over and over and over and over.
read everything on this forum.
go make tracks and don't care how they sound until they sound good.

learn. alot. right now.

go to psytrance parties and listen to the music instead of getting fucked up.

Use : http://www.reasonstation.net/
tons of free samples etc.
