Maybe a pair of Pioneer CDj100 with a Pioneer DJM 300 mixer. That would get you started for cheap...

Consider getting a small set of studio monitors and get good enclosed Headphones...

Apart from that... Find the music you like: find the record label, search for other artists on that label, search for affiliated labels, Read promotional releases, trawl obscure foreign language forums,
and one last thing...

Perfect the Duvdev hand wave...

A suggestion for starting to spin Psytrance:
1)Borrow or purchase 2 CD decks. (I prefer Denon)
2) Get 2 CD's with the same songs on them, preferably something more minimal or progressive (as it tend to be easier to hear what's going on when you get started).
3) Try beat-mixing the same song on both cd decks. Keep at it until you really get it. Trust me on this one, you develop much faster if you keep practicing until you get one right.
4) Now try 2 different songs. Cue up the 2nd track in your headphones to start on the first beat. Rough approximation is that for every 1 bpm thae tracks are off, you'll have to make an adjustment of .7 on the cd deck pitch. You'll also discover that rarely are they ever perfectly matched, so while your beat mixing, you'll have to make minor corrections. The key is to develop the ear so you can know whether the song you are bringing in is going faster, or slower, & then you can make the appropriate correction.
5) Keep practicing with just a handful of songs until you really get them. Once you've developed the ear, & the beat-mixing skill, you'll be able to mix just about anything.           Keep The Faith,

i prefer denon too... But it depends if u like jogdials to pitchbend (a vynil-like way to pitchbend, though not as handy as pitchbending a real vynil) or buttons... Most denons only have buttons to bend...

to put the cuepoint: press pauze on the first kick, and then turn it back to right in front of the kick (it will slowly sound more clicky, and when u hear no click anymore, that's the ideal point for the cuepoint)

When u start out u will have a hard time hearing whether something goes faster or slower then the song that's playing (after some time practising u'll start hearing even tiny differences in tempo). Best thing to do is slow it down untill u know for sure it's slower, and then pitching it back up, 0.7% at a time is about 1 BPM in psytrance (but if u spin a DnB song it will be more like 0.5% and if u mix hiphop it will be more like 0.9%) untill u are on the rhithm.

Use the bend knob while pitching to keep it matched (when u start out this will be hard, just press cue and press play again when u lose track of the beat while pitching, it's slower, but u have to learn...)

always keep count... Most songs are built up of loops of 32 counts, but 16 counts is good too (although the breaks will not always match exactly that way, there will be no audible desyncedness (by that i mean that the loops don't start on the same beat for both songs))... Just don't throw ur song in on the 3rd count for example, cuz it will sound strange. this is not important when u start though... If u can beatmatch without problems then give attention to this.

most important is to do it a lot in the beginning, because u have to train ur ear, there are no tricks there... In the beginning everything in the headphone will be like soup, after a while u will be able to 'listen into the mix' and keep the songs apart in ur head, when ur at that point mixing becomes easy...

good luck!!
