heya clovis,
it depends on ur budget...
but, if u live in brasil, and considering our real/euro exchange rate, id say u should get some behringer / m-audio active monitor speakers, a m-audio sound card, and a midi controller of ur choice...
im not the best guy to help u with that matter, but u can add me in msn and ill give u some websites where u can find this stuff!!!
gluck there

Hello mate...
My cheapest opinion is:
1. Go for the cheapest RME audio card like the digi 96 -322 euro *****
2. Go for an amd 64 or x2 cpu if you dont have one.
3. Go for a cheap midi keyboard like M-AUDIO OXYGEN 8 V2 -89 euro
4. Go for a cheap but decent pair of active monitors so you dont have to use an amplifier:
a.EVENT TR8 active - 569 euro pair *****
b.EVENT TR6 active - 469 euro pair ****
c.YAMAHA MSP 3 - 199 euro one ***
d.M-AUDIO BX5active - 249 euro pair **
I think for a good start these are the things you need with a pack of good vsts.
If you are planning to buy them from Europe check this store http://www.thomann.de
put the name of the product in the quick search and here you go..............................

I agree with PoM.
I think from my list above the Rme is for future use too.All the others might need upgrade sometime. But all depent on the use that you are planning to do.If you just want to mesh around with sounds, compose tracks etc. the above setup is good enough...If you are planning for more pro use in the future I will agree with Pom and I would go for at least a good pair of active monitors because you WILL pay them in the end.
As for cpu , what can i say, every month you see something different and the prices of the hardware before them are dropped in price so its on your choice if you are going too buy a pro cpu now or later. |

For starters?
Desktop Computer..easy as that..
otherwise a good sound card, and more importantly some kind of midi controller, if you have more money to spend go for a good set of studio monitors.. |

Hi eyezacc
I was thinking about 2 ~ 3 thousands us dollars, but if I can spend less than that great. I just wanna have stuff good enough to make good tracks.
I still have to buy the software, should I go for cubase ?
