it is hard to learn on your own, i know, because i did so.
fortunately however you are not on your own - as you have already found this forum. these days i visit 5 production-related forums each day, as well as keep in touch with many other like-minded people over the internet on soulseek, email, etc. who will check out my tune, criticise, swap tips, etc.
when you're online you're not alone

nooo dont start with fruity...
take from the start the beast prog :cubase or logic audio .
get for you one of this prog & some plug-in
and go to start.
it's go to be hard , but finally it's profitable
but remember this is just my opinion |

for reason users there is www.reasonstation.net
I recommend that if you're really going to start making music with computer, not just play around with it, you should learn some real vst sequencer from the start like Cubase or Logic Audio. That's because if you start with a program that's too easy, it's bigger step to learn everything again when moving to "REAL" software than learning it from the start. at least it happened to me
Nowadays I'm using Reason 2.5 rewired to Cubase SX with numerous VSTs |
