Jiizy sorry i dont know , i just studied tablature , clefs , quavers etc that kinda stuff very briefly more then 10 years back , i cant recollect any now hehehe

If they are mastered tracks , then im sure u know that certain frequencies are exaggerated including subs , as much as mastering is a comprehensive art by itself , many masterers can screw up your track, boost certain freqs , cut them etc i know quite a few people who dont like others mangling with their track to such extents ... Oh well that is another topic itself hehe

To tell the truth im still a little confused.
what i understood so far is that it would be easier to understand how to produse if you
have a certain knowladge in music theory. Yet you can still produce without background. But im looking at some of the thing you wrote like:

If u have windows media player or some other player and if u look at the equalizer u should see the different frequencies on it , the ones Psy-Clone talked about refer to where he lowered the volume on the equalizer (correct me if i'm wrong)
I didn't knew this things also but in time i'll get to them
Anyway i think u should read this post:

hey dude, buy a keyboard or a midi-keyboard(if you buy a midi you''ll need vst`s to use it)

then buy ``music theory for idiots`` (i think that is the name) on amazon or whatelse

now you got a starting point

good luck

stop askin if it is important to learn music to produce. Of course it is, you are making music, so why not learn the theory?           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

i'm sure this is not the first thing you are teaching yourself, so you should already have an idea of what method works better for you. we are all different and we have natural inclinations towards specific things. so the most efficient method would be the one that fully exploits these inclinations.

i would suggest a top-down approach. spend some time initially getting an overview of the whole thing in really general terms. try to understand what is involved, without getting bogged down by the details. then you can start drilling down into specific areas you've identified. to keep your interest up, you can keep switching between the areas, so you don't get sick of anything. the progress will seem kind of slow, but you are going for breadth rather than depth here. after things become more clear, it will be easier for you to determine which area you'd like to concentrate on.

but like i said before, you really should understand yourself and understand how your brain works. there's a lot of wiggle room as far as striking a good balance between depth/breadth and theory/practice and you are the only one who can determine what would work the best for you.

try not to get discouraged (and if you do, it's ok to take breaks) and don't ever forget to have fun and enjoy it.
