Perhaps because there are 5032 dark psy labels right now it's easier for new artists to release?

Totally agree .... it's one's choice to specialise in a particular stream and develop skillsets particular to a specific type of genre ..
All branches of music come from the same root, one big mother tree which spawns a fresh branch everytime a sibling gets an idea ... we are all a part of one big family!!
So i hope it means we in the future would not be judged on what we envision and the direction our artisty takes!!

but there's 29823742+ plus dark psy artists wanting to release so the competition is though 
btw, i was told the money was on the non-dark styles... so... you got a bad reason to go either ways :/

True! I'm writing a fanfare style music for an awards show right now. Plus, I never started dark, always been melodic. Dark doesn't interest me. |

the fact that there is more noise than melodies and tunes in todays night music says it all and lets not forget the infamous killa dark bassline
