Boom Shanker Psyfreaks!
I am based out of Dubai and have been experimenting with Psytrance production for around 6 months ( but listening to Psytrance for more than 10 years). I have also completed the EMP course from SAE. I am looking for a Psyfreak to start a project together. Its just so much more fun if there is more than one crazy brain making psy..
My preferred style is night time, full on, twisted. Some projects that inspire me are Polyphonia, Kaos, Farebi Jalebi, Jahbo, Mubali, Atriohm, Speakerhuggers,Onkel Donkel, Syntax error, Biodegradable, and so many more.... but you get the idea.
DAW - I know Ableton live pretty well and can work with Reason as well but with a bit of a struggle.
Equipment - I own a Macbook pro, Sennheiser HD650 headphones, M Audio Oxygen 25... (no monitors yet) so if you have a decent pair of monitors, that will be awesome
Anyone from Dubai reading this who may be interested, pls ping me.

is there any trees in dubai? it's all buildings and flat desert right??
oil millionaires pay millions to get private shows with pop singers. if they like psy..
that will be the goldmine

There are some parties here but not really open air festivals but only indoor in clubs. Booze is freely available here like any other city in the world but no drugs.....
Overall i do agree that the psy scene is pretty dull but it does exist... Nite time is the rite time!

we have had a psy trance scene here in dubai from around 1998 onwards ...
we have had private outdoors to big parties in clubs ..
we have had many international artists play here ..
we have had a handful of producers already released their music and many new producers on their way ..
we already have one psytrance label based out of here and i can assure you that there will be one more by the end of this year ...
so yea we have always been doing our bit although it might be small !
