J J Abrams, the man with the balls of steel takes a legendary franchise, rewrites the Trek canon and manages to make it fun, light, captivating but perhaps too shallow for the hardcore Trekkies.
If you like Star Trek you should go and see it.
If you don't, you should go and see it as well. It's a great movie and will probably be one of the biggest block busters of this summer.

It's like a trillion times better than Nemesis. The ending was a little cheesy in a feel-good way, but there are like 5 movies ever made in which this isn't the case so it's forgiven. Very good casting, Sylar makes a great Spock! I'm hoping they start a new series based on this.

the previous episodes were so boring, specially nemesis. Hope this one will bring some more of the hollywood spirit (money) to this wonderful project.

I never got Star trek, but this movie was fun.
I mean star wars is for freakie kiss, but this whole trikkie stuff is way beyond my horizont XD
Somebody watched the documentary about trkkies and trekkers on HBO some years ago?
It was scary

I enjoied it... ofcourse this is not a Classic Star Trek movie, but still its very enjoyble.
Specialy the special computer effects. |

This movie is freakin' badass. Great casting (well, less so for Kirk, but then again, Shatner was the past tense of his acting), awesome effects, cool plot. McCoy (Carl Urban) really stole the show with his excellent timing.

The film was a little simple-minded, but it was pleasant to those that there was weight of tricks, in general a film good. |
