Hi,
First thanks for this great and very interesting forum.
I'd like to start mixing psytrance CDs and I'd like to have decent material to play with. I think the Pioneer CMX-3000 should be a good dual CD player and not too expensive. But for the mixer I don't know what to choose. I'd like a mixer which would not be too expensive, about max €400. For that price range, there is the Pioneer DJM-300, which should be a good mixer. Anyway, it has a feature I don't need : an integrated BPM counter (the CMX-3000 has already one) and it has only two inputs. So I asked this question on IRC and somebody advised me the Stanton SMX 401. Looking at the specs, it seems to be a killer mixer for that price range. It has 3 inputs also.
I'd like to get some advices for a good mixer in that price range (max 400, say 500 €).
Thank you |

pioneer has a wide range of effects great for maximizing creativity in some synthisys (sp?) samples and what not and is easy to use in trems of programing. if you want, you should get the stantion and probally get a EFX 500 in future. I'd personally look around on e-bay and/or save up for the pioneer 300. The cmx 3000 is a great choice. most of the important features from the CDJ 1000 minus the HUMUNGOUS jog dial and the *save my shit on a flash card option*. There could be more Im missing out on but it's still worth the price. and unlike the CMX 5000, the cmx 3000 lets the dj do the work..
