Hi there. I'm looking for a bit of help to try and get a certain kind of lead sound. It is the type of lead Double R.E.L or Kindzadza often use.
Here is a very short sample from the track Na Ostov by Kindzadza showing what I'm talking about http://hateatron.com/Junk/Kindzadza-Snipit.ogg
I have been trying to recreate something similar with Albino 2, off and on for quite a while. What I've been trying is 2 oscs detuned a few octaves from one another so there is a lower and higher pitched sound, and then using an LFO on both oscs pitch...
It seems what they're doing when played is to sequence longer bursts of this sound, and then putting it through a gate rather than sequence each stab. I think..
I haven't really got it though, if anyone can offer a bit of help I would really apprieciate it. A link to another topic where this is described would be fine too, someone must have asked about this type of lead before, but I honestly haven't found it yet.

try Frequency Modulation (FM),the output of one oscillator is used to modulate the other,if osc 1 modulate osc2,set osc1 some octaves lower and use the mix so we can only hear osc2.the key is the fm amount and osc1 tuning. |

Ok, I succeeded, thanks you guys. You were right about the saturation too.
Also, I did manage to impress someone with this sound, however it was just me |
