Why Spun makes a lot of psytrance with the same bass and the same rythmus and melodies? some songs are very seemed. Don't throw Psytrance to the sweepings with the comerciality plz!!! Sorry my english.

Since when did a label have a own sound?
Artists is supposed to have a "own" sound thats what makes them artists.
As far as im concerned a label should stay far out of what kind of "style" a artist want to create.
Either they like it or they donīt.
FFS its not "extreme makeover" here.
I canīt really seem to find one example where a label has managed to enhance the sound of a band/producer, i can only see bad examples.
But then again the artist becomes "branded" with a certain sound and the buyer knows what he can expect when he gets a spun cd.

Isn't it like 'Ibiza Psy Trance' ? The Spun crew is based out of there or plays there all the time or something.
I miss the old GMS 
On the other hand... Spuns sub-label nice dreams music released one of the best Chill compilations of all time! IMHO, that should be their direction. They are talented musicians but should stay away from basslines. |

I like it that a certain label can have a certain sound. It's like going to see your favourite dj who plays your favourite tunes. Take the much missed flying rhino label. Very definitive sound throughout each track, solid grooves with kickass sounds. Mistress of evil - experimental night stuff that makes you lose your head. Twisted sounds... ok bad example... but I guess they's the label for you if you want kick ass original psy...
