What a hell of a party !!! I saw some pictures of a Fuji Festival, and it is unbelivable. The other had Shpongle, now you will get Shullman. Not to mention the powerfull dance floor. And all of this beside a volcano. Japaneses Know how to run killer parties.

I am inquiring as to if there is any possibility of hitching a ride with someone to the upcoming Vision quest festival at Mt. Fuji. I am dying to attend what will be a terrific memory yet I do not have a means of getting there beside the train which is quite difficult when you have to bring everything else.

Visionquest throws the best parties by far, thanks tonya

I guess I don't need to say that this party rocked! Thanks again, VQ. The artist were amazing, the location killer. And the sound was great - loud and clean. My biggest complaint though is the shitty dancefloor - what was with all those rocks? Ever tried dancing on 2 layers of baseballs? But this can be overlooked given the other amzing qualities of the party....

Also, at night, I found it too commercial and cheesy. There were huge video projection screens on either side of the stage. The VJ was very professional - maybe too much so. The artists names were displayed on the screens and spun around and stuff. The whole production and atmosphere made the artists seem like some kind of pop superstars. For me, it really distracted from the music.

between 3 and 6 am was Avi/Spacecat. I have mixed reviews for this gig. Some tracks seemed too cheesy and pop, while the psychedelic classics blew me away! As the sun started to rise, the party got better and better IMO. Maybe this also correlates with the drinking crowd passing out?

6-7:30 Infected Live! Wow. These guys are masters! I knew it, and I've seen them live before, but WOW! There is no morning music that compares to this experience IMO. The shiny snow-capped peak of Fuji framed between evergreens behind the stage certainly DID NOT distract from the magic, either. Lots of tracks from BP Empire, some groovy new stuff, and I loved the live remix of Psycho - pure power!

Next, Bansi. What a performer! A light and comical start with a remix of Groove Is In the Heart set the stage for a fabulous set from Bansi. I quickly got the feeling that this dude has performed at raves before.....

Next DJ Ami - hmmm, I took a break here.

11-1pm Duv Dev / Bansi DJ team. 2 great performers - 1 great performance. Boy, Duv Dev sure likes DJing. So energetic and smily. His energy fully "infected" the dancefloor and we kept goin off into the afternoon. This was my first time to see Duv Dev Dj, and I was pleasantly surprised. He mixed very well IMO, and of course he mixed Infected tracks superbly. Also, it was during this set that I heard that "The Finger" remix that Mr. Anteater was talking about in the "Unidentified" section. Killer track. Bansi did a theatrical lip-synch of the vocal sample. Fun fun fun.

From 1pm was the Shulman live - I was looking forward to this after reading the reviews of his CD in this forum. However, it started toooo slowly and seemed too simple at first after the full on psychedelics that preceeded it. It couldn't keep me around. So, I gave in to my tired body and went back to the tent to sleep.....

Thank you VQ!

Hi Kaaitsu how are you doing, thank you for the report that was about it but you have forgotten planet Ben, he was organic noise.
About the to much VJ, this is the future this is the time where visuals are more like some thing that we can influence with like with the soccer movie that he played got the people to remember that there is some thing big happening in Japan.
We are always trying to get some reality with our VJ show. Please come and say hello in our next event with the DELTA we are bringing a new sound into the trance world a 4.0 sound system meaning surround sound.
NEXT event with

2- Minimilitz/spairllianz
3- DJ Dino
4- DJ shanty

Hey John.
Once again, thanks for the great party.
I didn't report on planet Ben because I didn't stick around for it all. I caught bits of it, but the sound wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear at that time. I usually prefer the full-on psy, and also earlier on in the night the dancefloor was at its worst in terms of those stupid rocks.

And yeah, I saw some of that soccer video, and yeah it's relevant since the World Cup is here now and everything. It's just that I'm not interested in soccer at all! The psychedelic parts of the VJ show were indeed very stimulating, though.

I'm looking forward to surround sound at the Delta! That's the kind of improvement I want to see. Cheers! Thanks for bringing them, by the way - I didn't want to have to go to Osaka for the show!
