Will check it out here soon. You've been a big help so far though, man, I appreciate it! And yeah, the m903 is quite pricey. I guess in total I hope to spend no more than $4500 on all this.

Okay, "Drew" at Moon Audio just recommended for audio production for a "modest" price, the Ultrasone Signature DJ, the Silver Dragon V3 Headphone cable, and the MyTek Digital Stereo192-DSD DAC. Sound good?

dunno mate, mytek is a good brand of converter that all i know.
cable are a bit mystical for me.. but if it sound better lol dunno find it funny. is these cable cost a arm and a legg?
if it s for making some tunes all these stuff is more than good enought..lavry,mytek. then headphone you would really need to try by yourself.. you can t rely on people advice as it s really personal.. what i can tell ..it s that it s always good to have a pair of ath m50 around for the price it cost.. and 2 different pair is better than one for me, one open ,one closed.
anyway i think you make right move..buying once and top notch is the cheapest way if you are serious about production .. you will never need to ugrade converter in this price range unless you make lot of cash with production maybe and it will be a pleasure to enjoy the sound.. |

but man ideally you would get first good room with great monitors and then dac...
your set up is not hard to beat yes even if it s decent already, then it depends your level of production too. you need to apreciate subtulity ect.. to really feel it s a big upgrade. for a beginer da convertiion quality difference is like splitting air |

Well, my room situation, I cannot change It's tiny and all I have. Unfortunately I cannot have something too loud because there are neighbors :/ So I figured the DBM50's would be ideal. Am I wrong? The answer is most likely yes, but please tell me anyway, lol

Nothing wrong with your sound card. RME offers very high end sound, any product. Dynaudio monitors are also very good, a lot used by tons of producers out there. I don't think you need to spend 2000€ on your monitors, honestly. But, of course, the more you can spend the better. But you need to take your room into consideration, don't over do it. You don't need excessive power on the drivers that will make everything rumble around you. Just a tight and defined sound - with a broad and flat range, that's it.
I see a lot of KRK (what I have), Adam and Dynaudio being used by most people I know.
EDIT
KRK also has a very good "room correction" sound card, that's also good for monitor control and headphones - I recommend some room treatment (usually doesn't take as much as the hype says) and coupled with that, it really helps. check it out! |

Yeah, but it doesn't look like I can use the KRK Ergo with a MyTek Digital Stereo192-DSD DAC and the Babyface together (please correct me if I'm wrong) The problem I have right now is trying to figure out if I can hook up the RME and the Mytek DAC both via USB, in sound properties (windows) on the Playback tab setting the defaut output to the Mytek Stereo192-DSD and in the recording tab, setting the RME as the default input. I would really rather do it this way, then using a toslink. Anyone?

If the KRK Ergo can fit in there anywhere, I would be thrilled if someone would let me know how
