i have been trying to see whats the difference between a spiritual high and material high and all other highs out there. From my initial introspection, i feel that most of the highs are similar in their sensations as to what reactions they create. Yes i know there are many negative sensations that are aroused but lets for the purpose of this discussion focus only on the good sensations that every high arouses and compare them to the reciprocal spiritual or what we call the "good" high.
One thing that i somewhat was sure of but not HIV positive about is that ,
once you find ur "higher" plane or platform you never want to step down from it. U do things to keep you there---either you meditate & yoga or you inject & party
i dont see much difference...once you have found yourself you like to stay there and do everything possible to keep you there. you either distance yourself from things and other bad habbits or you take yourself towards spirituality and abstinence...you bend both ways (no pun intended).
Well i have had the opportunity enjoy all highs and one thing is for sure no body likes to come down from it.
Enlightened beings like Buddha or Jesus or Muhammed or Mahavir or Krishna, were definitely high on spiritual mixtures and concoctions of spiritual knowledge...just like Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing, everything around him seemed to be revolving in fast motion and he was not concerned with what he was doing or why he was doing but he was doing...similarly when we meditate everything around us continues to rotate except that we rotate at a frequency that optimizes us to understand and we become aware of everything.
The highest state of awareness is enligtenment which can be reached at only through experience and once you reach the peak of this high plateau u never want to come down...because when you do u experience fatigue.
When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive |

Interesting topic, though your last paragraph is just full of nothing. You assume too many things. Did you meet Buddha or Jesus? How do you know they were high? Can you really compare them to a character in a film? And frequencies? Have you reached Nirvana? |

Spiritual high is forever, healthy and multidimensional and tough to achieve unless u have mastered how to......... Material high is temporary high of a 3 dimensional physical world and easy...
maybe there r diff types of materials in other dimensions also, but they r all limited to that dimension... spiritual high can stay and take u into different dimensions... But then again there r materials which take u into different dimensions, but the thing is materials are temporary n limited... But again, some mayterials can trigger a spiritual high that will last forever

A plain spiritual high is possible for very few people.
How the fuck are you going to be spiritual when you have no food, no bed, no clothes ?? You need material things brother. After your basic materialistic needs are fulfilled then you think about spirituality.
Just cause i enjoy the 'high' i get from my 'materialistic' air-conditioner does not mean that i cannot be spiritual.
So its not necessarily materialist vs spiritualist. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the materialist 'high' or the spiritual 'high' |

Yes it has been pretty common knowledge for thousands of years that the spiritual high is the greatest one. To me the Bhagavad Gita is a good book on this matter. That absolute state of realization is suppose to be the greatest bliss a person can experience

I agree, you don't have to choose and even if you did you would most certainly experience both.

one thing people shud not forget in a 3D world... IT IS A MATERIAL WORLD... u cannot survive here without material stuff... even food u eat, air u breathe n water u drink is material stuff...
At the same time everyone shud also realize the earth provides for everyones need, not for everyones greed...
So hope u all get my point...
And spirituality is a multidimensional concept... So is ur soul... So as long as u r here in a 3D world, use the material stuff to ur NEEDs only and to improve ur spiritual strength of ur soul and move on to the next dimension...
