Spirit, Avalon, Club Deep and a few others in the Chelsea area have all been shut down by the NYPD because they found bartenders selling drugs inside. It seems the owners used to allow this and keep a percentage of the profits from drug sales... Tsk, tsk...sad story...
Good news for us though, no more parties at Spirit and Avalon hopefully! |

Hello everyone. I was wondering what had really happened to Avalon & Spirit, and asked TSUNAMI about the state of these clubs.
They replied: SPIRIT and about seven other venues were closed down last Friday by the
police. The clubs had seen this coming, since the police had been building up a case over several months. This Thursday all the venues will have their day in court, and they are 99.9% sure that they will all be open that night. The police has been trying to change the rules for clubs, and it would take years for them to succeed, in the opinion of the insiders we spoke to. ELEMENT is too new to have any problems of this kind. |
