Hey mates!!
I would like to know how to do the spinning up effect that you can listen, for example, in "Captain Hook & Freedom Fighters - Marshmallows" @ 3.45 minutes... Here you have the link
I know it's a difficult FX, but maybe anybody can give me some tips =) I'm using Logic 9 pro. I advertised that this effect is almost sure done with an LFO, but on an audio sample, or on the master channel making a loop and aplying an LFO on this loop... Is similar to the "roll" effect on the pioneer djm 800!
So, my question is: is there any pluggin that can do that? any hardware equipment? for sure, but wich one?
I've tried using "flex time" linked to tempo, and setting the tempo with an automation curve from 135 bpms to 990 bpms (the maximum in logic), and it works but it is not as fast and clean as if you made it with an LFO...
Well, thank you very much in advance! keep on trancing
Booooommm!!!

That's a really easy one
All you need it a pitch delay plugin and some automation on the time knob. I use Ableton's ping-pong delay for this.
Put the delay time at a low setting (1/4 Bar, for example,) and high feedback (if it has a "freeze" option, activate it after feeding the input sound) feed your sound into it and let the delay do its thing (play back repeated echoes of the sound).
Then automate the time knob to make the echoes shorter. If it's a pitch delay, making a faster time delay will increase the pitch of the sound.

Basically what you do is speed up a loop.
Take a loop put it is a sampler, for example kontakt or even battery can do it, and then change the pitch of the loop without controlling for the length. So the pitch goes up and the loop goes faster and faster. Kontakt will probably do a better job than battery, because in battery you can't automate everything... =(
Any other good sampler options to do this?
