I bought a set of Pioneer CDJ's and now I just have to get myself a reasonable mixer.
Some tips on the mixer would help to (I don't want to spend too much).
But what can you tell me to lead me into the right direction to learn how to mix?
I don't have any experience at all, so really all tips are welcome.

do not push the eq into positive values. reduce only. zero is max.
do not play on partys with an overdriven main-out (LEDs staying in red permamently).
know your trax very well.
dont play mp3

Try mixing 2 of the same track together (a track you know very well). Keep mixing it over & over until you get it right. Your training your ear to figure out which track needs to be pushed or pulled. Then try 2 different tracks (you know very well), and keep mixing it until you get it right. May be boring, but I believe you'll hone your skills much quicker by doing it over & over.

does this 1bpm = 0.7% rule apply to mix tracks only above 140 bpm or generally 1 bpm = 0.7% ?
Its all about the vibe.... |

1% of 140 is 1.4
1% of 141.4 is 1.414
1%of 142.814 is 1.42814
1%of 144.24214 is 1.4424214
and so on..
You should use the 0.7% to estimate. Than use your ears to see if the tracks stay in beat.
If you sync the beats manualy is extremely dificult to match them iqual. If you play techno you can have 2songs playing simultaneanty for al long as you want, and eventualy thy will be offbeat.
Then you just "nick the weel" and put both song at the same beat time.
My advice is to practice alot. Try to play the song you are thinking of. An if you mess up a mix, may it be at home. Only do a public preformance when you feel you a prepared. And learn your equipment. To dj isn't just to mix tracks, that only happens every 5minutes, there is plenty you can do.
Most of all, have fun

Well, I've had my first try!
It went horrible!
I just can't match two beats, I totally F**k up!
The problem is, I have 1 CDJ-100 and one CDJ-200, and the CDJ-100 doesn't have a bpm counter.
