i dont find salsa to be so difficult to learn its just one step her and 2 steps there its like most of the regular dance forms quiet easy and in the end very boring if your not in to breakdance or some kind of sports dancing. freeform trancedance is hard to beat its very different from person to person and really unik and yet theres no school to learn it in. |

I took salsa lessons once and found the step and hip motion counter to what my body wants to naturally do, so had a hard time with just the basics. Also I found it hard to get out of my head. Dance had always been a free form natural movement for me, so trying to remember steps and movements was difficult.
BUT it is a sexy dance and good thing to know how to do so I will be continuing with lessons.
I'm also interested in flamenco as it seems to suit my style more.
Also want to try the Indonesian Wayang (Wayang Orang, of course, not Kulit), which I grew up watching.

Sounds exactly like learning a language, doesn't it?
You speak freely and naturally in your native language but it’s all awkward and stiff in some foreign language. One day you stop choosing every word or worry about the grammar and suddenly whole sentences just come out of your mouth.
Anyway, those were just theoretical musings. My idea of dancing is tapping my foot and occasionally shrugging my shoulders. Berber women can make pretty cool dances this way. But I am not a Berber woman.
