I think I'll still stick with synths, conserves space and with patches it's the same thing as having thousands of samples in one interface. Not a fan of those.

Synths are great, but its good to have samples of a Minimoog saw/square on every key to make a bassline...or Jupiter 6/8 waveforms for them ripping leads.
Having a lot of options in your sonic arsenal is always a good thing in my opinion.

I agree, you can never have enough of material. But you are the one who has to choose what element to use

WOOOT! I heard about this back at the AES show in October. Suddenly, I'm happy to be a trilogy owner again. I had a tough time controlling some of the more obnoxious patches and waveforms and sort of gave up.

Wait, did I read that correctly? It is a FREE update for intel-mac users.
Suddenly, May 18 seems like a long long way off.

Is this still a ROMpler? Hope they have better algorithms for the filter and envelopes.

Totally. Although they can be made to work well in some cases, many sweet bass sounds just won't work with typical fast psybass envelope settings. That said, I use it rather than most synths still, those samples are phat and obviously nails it every time as opposed to things that oscillate

I'm still mad about the upgrade discount only being avaliable for trilogy owners, and not omnisphere owners... :S

Very nice, this has been a long awaited update for sure. I'm looking forward to some of the new features and overall enhanced usability.
The upgrade price isn't too bad and I'll be done with purchasing all the crazy stuff thats coming out around..now
