I'm going out for a bit, grab some fresh AiR           I don't use ideas. Every time I have an idea it's too limiting, and usually turns out to be a disappointment. But I haven't run out of curiosity. -RR

okay, trying before buy now.

My first impression is that i feel dissappointed.

Soooo heavy, sooo long to initialize, sooo long presets loading, sooo much disk space... And crashed my DAW for a couple of times. Also, I can't understand how it behaves with MIDI. Some times it receives notes from my keyboard, sometimes not, with same channel settings. Strange.

Seems that it doesn't worth this all, gonna try more, though.

Imho, if you need that "analog" sounds and do not own proper hardware, there are a lot of good and much lighter solutions. e.g. Ultra Focus, or Nexus.

That is only a first impression.           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

Hold on ! This isn't some kind of analog hardware emulation plugin. This is something new where you can create new sounds... where acoustic sound are somehow processed along with synthetic sounds via a synthesis engine which seems to be the dog's bollocks.

So I dont think there is anything outhere like it. If I'm not mistaken it includes also the trilogy and the atmosphere library.

And give it sometime the 1st versions are always buggy...

Ps: When you guys write about issues it would be nice and sensible to write what setup you have ....

I think its pretty cool. Heavy on load, but after its initialized (5 secs here), presets loads quick, most of them almost instantly, and there are a lot of cool ones. Really interesting sounds, of all kinds, but soundscapes takes up a lot of the bank - not that it's a bad thing.           myspace.com/auralinvasion

Tweaked it a little more...
and i can say it has awesome sound and decent tweaking possibilities...

Also, some awesome feature found
When you right-click on any knob of atmosphere, you see the menu where you can choose "enable host automation". This creates an automation envelope inside the host! Veeery useful, i wish every VST worked like that.           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

Its great imo, 8 outputs makes it pretty sweet aswell.

Still havent tested the tip of the iceberg thou, and i dont think its realy expensive for the amount of soundbank content.

more like 50

Tried the Air'ed one, didnt get it to work.

Anyways, I guess this would only do the job of inspiring me with some of its sounds, just like a samplelibrary.

If your gonna install the East West Symphonic Choirs+Orchestra+Colossus and then omnisphere. You need a dedicated 320gb drive just for the libraries. I find it pretty obvious that alot of these large sample bank romplers are packed with shit. Yet look at all the sample-cds claiming to have both feet down to earth and comprehensive knowledge around genre defenitions.

well...
