I used to use 3 band pass filters on individual buses set at like... 300, 2400,3000... something like that, and automate the shit out of them... its a bit messy but sounds well crazy, specially with portamento switched on. I have a list somewhere of all different frequencies to acheive vowel sounds for a male, female and a child-like voice using this method, in some book on psychoacoustics. You really want pretty acurate filters for this too.
Also on the albino I can set 2 band pass filters (1 + 2) to automate on the matrix panel. Have one set at like -2000 and one at 2000 and use an lfo or a mod wheel to make shit move. Sounds creepy.
You can also get some voice like qualities by experimenting with a phaser.
It's all about finding something you like and really fine tuning it.
I have to apologise I dont really have much experience with nord synths but i guess the principle should always be the same. |

here you got some tests on the Nordrack...
hope you can make something fun out of them
i just made them in 5min so they are not tweaked to perfection... you have to do that your self.. experiment with FM amount and tweak the filter while you play them.. otherwise they wont speak ohh and they sound best in C2 octave, in my opinion.. otherwise they get too tendious on the ear...

how to load these files?
I have Universal Manager to load and store sounds for my virus classic...but not sure for the nord...
I once loaded a long time ago that deedrah bank into my nord through cubase but i did it so long i forgot how to do it.
Is there an easier application to do this for the nord? https://www.djjeto.com |

FalFilter Twin can do some nice vowel-like effects. Blue can do that as well as Fugga said.
Tone2 FilterBank2 VST has some nice patches that you can apply to any audio material that will create that type of effect.
The secret is in the filter+EQ and compression.

if you have the KORG Legacy Collection, it comes with one vst plugin called MDE-X that has the Talking Modulator, that should also do the work

Check out what formant frequencies look like and try to replicate that... in theory it's a sequence of resonant peaks at specific points in the frequency spectrums which govern the shape of the voice...
In theory, if you can be arsed.. you can automate an e.q. to do this...
Here's an example:
http://www.umanitoba.ca/faculties/arts/linguistics/russell/138/sec4/formants.htm
good luck...
... (simple stuff though can be done by just using resonant bandpass filters) you can also use the bitcrush method... which i'm a particular fan of, on pitchpending low leads - works best IMO
