hey all synth freaks,
been spending some time listening to spacetribe again, the quality of their sound never ceases to amaze me.
there is one sound in particular i have been after for quite some time, and it sounds very similiar to this - http://illusions999.tripod.com/spacetribe-lead2.mp3 (hope this stays up for sometime)
im hoping once i learn how this sound is made, i can alter it, and give it my own flavour. if theres anybody out there that has any idea how this made, please let me know.
take it easy
boom! |

The first thing that came to mind is refx vanguard. I think they did it with with a virus. But try vanguard if ypu have it. I don't know of any other vst that has filters sounding like this. In vanguard there are some presets close to this. Just make the melody and then search the presets and when you find the right one tweak it to your liking. If I remember correctly there is a preset called GAT you can tweak to make it sound like this. |

Osc's are either PWM or saw but it's definetly in unison mode so it doesnt make a big difference if its saw or PWM. I think the filter might be a dual bandpass filter, or bandpass + highpass, because it sounds a tiny bit vocal'ish. |
