Hi all,

It is customary to greet upon the first posting, so if I may, from first glimpse it looks like a really happening place and things are looking cool, so keep the faith guys and girls.
The subject that I wanted to add to the list is the natural question of what is the path to the future, as we all saw the Electronic music scene has diverted in to many sub-regions in which most of the people between the ages of 10 – 50 can find some type of music that they can relate to. The real thing is what is the next evolution of the Trance scene in Israel and the world. Since I took some time off parties and all of what comes along I was surprised to find out that the music has become really strange for my taste, I hear people playing stuff that you could never ever hear in parties back in the past, music that in the past was forbidden now is played all around the parties.
Plus, I have noticed that the “new” wave in the scene is something that I really cannot describe, after a long discussion we have finally narrowed down the description to:

“…Something between Robot Music to Space out music…”.

Is it really the place that our music is going to ?

'tis a really deep and vast thing - the future.
i don't think the trance will advance towards space without getting closer to earth...and the next thing you know will be the fact that the electronic music has captured the ages of 0-100.

just look what kind of artists with what kinds of background have entered the e-scene: in the past the electronic musicians were moslty sound engineers (kraftwerk etc.) rather than the revolutionary musicians, later on it came into "trackers era"..and today the people are with both a good musical and technical background .... so what can i say ....expect the unexpected: government sponsored trance parties, soma etc. :-)..i don't know...who knows?

hi,

so i was abroad for a week but i came back and now i can reply.

we have sent a mail to all of our freinds that wanted to join our trip to Zambia, in which we explained what had happened and why we are not doing this project finally. it seems that we have missed your mail address and for that i do apologize.
When our next project will take place, some where next summer (festival in an European country) i will be sure to let you know.

peace
Harry

Well, no one can really know where the music is going to... After I heard Psychopod's wonderful Headlines, I thought "this is the future for sure", but unfortunately, it wasn't. Everyone had that feel about Hallucinogen's Twisted - but people just can't do what Hallucinogen does, so even though it changed the style of psytrance (same with psychopod, and many others), you never know where it's going to go.

The best guide I had up until 2000 (when I stopped getting compilations for a while, and focused more towards specific artists), was the TIP compilations, which always had a clarity of vision as to where the sound is going. Just like the Shiva trilogy brought the goa wave forward, phosphorescent told us that night music was coming, 3D and beyong colour took us farther down the new paths, and it really keeps on that way if you think about it.

Instead of guessing, just check out what the pioneers are saying :)

Personaly I'm galdd that you hear now at parties stuff that was forbidden, I do not belive that Any music is forbiden. and I belive that we are moving in 2 directions. 1 will be the more full on goa that will remain pretty much the same and the second will be the progressive. we are heading towards a split in our scene. (and I quote XP - of parasence) I know that for me personally I no longer play Goa.

All well, Boris.
