Yep the energy is all there  
To give something back,
- I think the initial lead has a very predictable LFO, I would personally love to hear the LFO time slow down from the initial 8 beats to 16 beats, over the couple of bars it's playing
- The open hat (and the closed one) seems a bit low in the mix. Rethink - the whole cymbals seem to miss some breathing room, I think the mix would shine through better if this high end part was more prominent
- The rise up at 4:27 could build a lot more energy, I think you're cutting out the low end a little to fast
- 4:43 - what happened to the lead guitar? Seems to stop a bit abruptly without some sort of resolve
As a fellow guitarist, I think after the final buildup that not much is presented guitar-wise, I mean all the skills have been set before along the tune. Plus the take does seem a little off time
Don't take this wrong, rhythm guitar is very nice, but the lead guitar seems a little bit sub-par with the quality of the other elements. I'm noticing this because I believe if you bring it up to par or exceed it a little, then this will be a hell of a tune.

Really, you said some things which I could never notice by miself
I don't know why, but when it's WAV - sounds of hats look better, they were completelyt messed up when this track was rendered to MP3, but I think at least it's a signal to work on them.
Regarding guitar: yeah, lead guitar is fucked up  but recently I start to attend guitar lessons, so really hope to improve my skill and replace "this great solo" on something good.
