have you watched this episode, kinda makes the entire hippy thing look "Lazy Talkers"

yeah man....the episode was mad funny and yeah cykick behind all the humour there is a stark message.....i dunno how many here consider themselves to be hippies (not me )......but this psyscene makes itself to be a PLUR scene....evry1's like "peace man" "good vibes"...all this just in words.....when people talk abt smiling faces at parties do they know if its a natural one or a drug induced happiness.....
also yeah even in the 60's , woodstock for eg : the example on which the southpark festival wasbased on; the whole vibe was peace,anti vietnam war blah blah....but it was just an excuse for a mass gathering of people eager to trip on the newly discovered 'Sid .... i guess very few from there actually took part in any anti war protests.....most psychedelic "PLUR" crowd shy away from doing any constructive acction bcoz mayb theyre too stoned, lethargic or they dunt want to be noticed in the public eye ...
it wud really be nice if BOOM ,fullmoon , VOOV ,etc could get more corporate sponsorship , and let them setup a stall or 2 at the site and with the increased income maybe some proceeds could go to charity.........another suggestion is like for eg in this festival in brazil http://www.festivalforadotempo.art.br theres some scene where people entering in can donate books which go to some local charity..... worst comes to worse if u cant help in ne which ways pls make sure u dunt dirty ur surroundings for any outdoor scene u go to...clean up after yurself....natures given u a beautiful place to party...respect her and thank her for dat by not littering......

yeah, i am sure most of us are not hippies.
When there even exists a debate on who picks up the phone and calls up for pizza post a session of a few bongs, saving the world, fighting the corporations and the likes is a far fetched thought

My fav south park episode, just beacuse they make fun of hippies!!!!
Haha for me hippies are kind of hypocrit, they smile at u and give u good vibes just because they are high, just that.
Dont have anything against hippie movement, just this kind of actions, i dont like 2 faces people.
But hey south park rules

Hippies had much more influence on things than you think, but i dont have power to explain this further, search yourself if you want to. Remember that there's two sides on every coin and this episode shows you one in the light of skillfully mastered irony as Southpark often does. Dont take it literally as educational program  . Anyways, nice episode and a good laugh. |
