Well, artist wise, we've got:
Midrange Freedom Fighters (although I'm not to sure if they;re still putting things out)
Artifakt, I caught these guys live a couple of weeks ago at n-Trance (there was some confusion with management and the guy's who threw the party but that's not part of this story). They were awesome (really hard with intricate synthy basslines), could do with a little tightening up, but it's a fairly new act so it can only get tighter, you can see the direction they're looking to go towards is just gonna blow some shit up.
Nagual, these guy's played live at quite a few of the Vortex's (more about Vortex later) nice sound,
not quite as heavy as Artifakt though, they often have bongo and guitars (maybe even a singer every now and again).
More to come...so stay tune for the next episode.

Parties wise, most of our parties are outdoors with the two major organisers being Vortex (definately the biggest, sometimes cracking the 5000ppl mark ((in fact I think that happened quite a bit last season)) ) and Alien Safari, I think links to them are in one of the other posts on this area.
Other than that, there are smaller parties going down (these are usually quite fun }:)) but they're not quite so well known. We also every now and again have free parties on chapmans peak.
These are pretty cool but apparently at the last one (I missed it) people were getting drunk and causing fights and so on - sad, sorry, wastes of sperm and eggs.

I just returned from Rome- No Trance, Amsterdam only one outlet that sold psy Trance and that was owned bt a Souh African. Manchester - None, Scotland a little murmer. London Yes but nothing on the weekend I was there.
Anyhow in Cape Town we wholley spoilt. It will take a long tiime before is dies out here. VIVA |

Hi,
I'm from the Midrange Freedom Fighters originally - we were three guys in Johannesburg producing trance but then split with the one guy - so now it's just me and my friend Pierre "Parasyke". We are now producing under the name Bent Sentient and have just had our first release on a new label called Alchemy Records - It's track one on the compilation Electrum.
I also played a live gig at Solipse in Zambia as wellas a DJ set - under the name Starspine.
We've just finished recording a new track and I hope it will be released soon as our second track.

Zambia was killer - for nothing else then the vibe. The line up was sketchy at times and I never did a straight 12 hours of partying as a result, but generally good. Mark Allen - wow!, also Total Eclipse, Pied Piper Paul and Anti.
Great people great vibe and quite a wicked venue.

I nearly cried the week before Solipse, someone was nice enought to offer me a free ticket, problem is I just didn't have the time to organise anything else, and consequently got stuck at home...*sigh*
Jaques, what label are are you guy's planning on releasing through? Also, will it be on CD or vinyl?

Hi,
As you can see the first one is on Alchemy Records - a new label from London. The track is released on the CD compilation Electrum. Thi ssame track was also being sought after by Resonoise Records and Medium from Germany.
The second track - who know's - whoever likes it I suppose?? It's not really us who do the choosing at the moment.

Thanx a stack - we're busy working on a new one at the moment and have another 2 up our sleeves - we'll see who's interested in putting them out there. We are also going to do an MP3 release on Psyshop soon of some of our more fullon sounding stuff - should be a 3 track release.
