the same old boring FM or subtractive synthesis + distortion, especially when used for obnoxiously harsh and noisy leads.
or rather, I don't want people to stop using that stuff entirely, but tone down the harshness... and it would be nice to hear some other less common synthesis techniques alongside the old classics...granular, spectral, physical modeling, etc.

all...a 6.23min long track with silence and at the end a pin dropping is the only sound we should listen to
