i listened to both samples and think there is nothing wrong about the tracks. well maybe the second can have a little bit of low end boost depending on other material on the same release. the first one is slower and that leads to more pronounced low end with less high pass filtering. the second is faster so mix clarity might benefit from that. and it does in your case.

man checked briefly but it seems definetly better.. can say much on this cans, maybe the mids high of the bass is a bit tiring,tonal balance is better, more natural.
dont know if it s the cans thought.. and it s about personal taste but your bassline still ahve something that annoy me, kick bass could maybe be mixed more in the background, or some sounds more in front, there is also a color on the overall sound that is a bit irritating and tiring to me, harsh dunno if you used some sort of exciters maybe..., it s seems very centred and not much open?
but take this with grain of salt , could be the cans i m listening
yeah when you bass goes kbbb it feel like the balance change, kick bass take too much space maybe ,go too much in front, at the begining it s better imo.
but about your topic name, i think you went even more cleaner,iritating there,wonder what but you probably abused something . if you could change that color that is on the harsh side to analog warmth it would sound really good to me, but this more about taste..

when it goes Kbbb it feel like mix loose clarity, i think your bass may need a little cut to let the sound more room.
my can tend to be soft and musical, if it sound irritating on it there is probably something wrong.. but maybe it s cause i have tired ears .. could be wrong on lot of point.. bu hope it helps man good luck , i feel like you re not far.. mostly the color to me
