hi Conny,
this is an issue with many applications developed for windows (e.g. wavelab does this as well). they store their data on your system drive (c:) in ../application data which is somewhere in /my documents and settings (called something like this, search with your explorer to find it). some allow to set this to a different directory (e.g. on your data harddrive), some allow to export settings.
for soundforge try to look in the above folder if you find a soundforge folder. in there, you might be able to find what you're looking for, then, backup those files.
