did it sound clear while u were recording it? then u prolly raised the record level in soundforge too high. Nothing else to do but rerecord... it could also be that the AD converter doesn't do it's business decently anymore (while u record u only hear the analogue signal, directly routed from input to output, so u can't hear what's coming out of the AD), but that's highly unlikely... maybe ur computer was busy doing all kinds of other things and didn't record it decently... In that case u'll have to rerecord too...

did it sound bad while u were recording it? u prolly clipped the audio input... nothing else to do but rerecord it... or u might have a bad cable going to the computer... Or it could be the pot on one of the sides of the cable that's crackly/noisy... Or u have a ground loop... In those cases a very good denoiser can help u a long way (not a miracle-solution though)...

There are other things that can cause it u know... Just to show u that u can logically break down a problem like that by slowly excluding the things that can't be responsible for the bad result. After a while u'll have narrowed it down to the problem itself..

Also check the settings in the Record window - you might have been recording at a really low sample-rate or bit-depth. If you're recording a DJ set you want to be recording at 16-bit 44.1KHz (CD quality) or higher.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
