I found out that when I upload my tracks to soundcloud it changes my track a little bit :S .
This is a track that I working on :
edit : link removed
You can hear a really annoying sound that sounds really resonated . Especially with the bassline , kick, and at the beginning .
I tried to upload also wave file and the problem is the same . When I listen to the track from my PC or Ableton it sounds ok without the resonated sound .
Any one know how I can fix this problem ? |

How did you fix it?.
they compress it when you upload file on soundcloud, and then it causes a ringing sound. i hate that sound.
But im very interessted to know if u suceeded to fix it?.

I just changed my listening source , maybe I haven't fixed it =/
When I listen to all the tracks via my computer 2.1 speakers or if I plug in headphones to the headphone input , it make this sound .
I tried to listen to soundcloud by listening to all that comes from the pc/soundcloud via my soundcard and it sounds just fine, so i just was thinking that I have problem with my 2.1's .
Maybe this problem related to low quality audio processing sources like the onboard soundcard.... ?
Try to listen to soundcloud via your soundcard maybe :S |

I have the same problem with soundcloud, my problem is every time the bass and the kick are playing alone, the kick sometimes sounds like if it had a highpass filter or something, really strange, I thought I was the only one with the problem. |

Yeah some of my uploads have been wrecked by the encoding on SC. Some say to have it -3db, not 0db. Whether you upload a WAV FLAC etc, it will only stream back at 128k mp3, so bascially everyone is hearing it at the worse possible resolution!! sometimes a lot of high freqs mess up playback, rolling off high/low freqs with suitable broad sweeping eq/mastering tools can help |

It does not help with lower volume. I have uploaded some unmastered tracks, they are -6db, and still same problem.
I think its the process of the compression that the ringing appears, i hear big artist aswell who have this ringing sound.

Er'm yeah, Its pretty hard to track down exactly what can cause it. could be a plugin, eq, delay, etc.
do u dither down to 16 bit before uploading to SC?
it would be a pain but, but muting parts and adding them 1 by 1 to see when the soundcloud problems show up may help. it would mean lots of bouncing down to test,...ie - start with the drums, unmute bass, unmute next channel. when the ringing starts u know that that channel is the cause....hard work but worth a try |
