Hi I am thinking about buying a new pc and would like to know how people who have dsp soundcards like pulser, luna etc. have their systems setup.. in terms of soundcard
I have one h/w synths and dont have a mixer(well selling it) and therefore am looking to get something like M-Audio Delta66 to connect synths directly to soundcard.
However i am also looking seriously at the Dsp cards like Luna etc..
If I decide to just buy a Dsp card would I be able to connect my synths to themand would therefore not need any other card Or do they just act as cpu/vsti/fx and would then need a second soundcard if I dont want a mixer
Also would these dsp stuff work within Logic 5 on a pc?
feedback would be greatly appreciated

Pulasr with the Scope platform or whatever the 10 I/O interface is called. 6 sharc DSP's should do the job...
Good Luck

i own a pulsar and a luna card, though i am only using my luna atm. if you buy a fairly new computer you won´t really need all the dsp mumbo jumbo that creamware cards have, since your cpu will be more than adequate for running synths and effects (and will in most instances sound better and be more integrated within your sequencer software) if you are looking or a straight in/out card i order to replace/avoid usig a hardware mixer, you should check out the RME hammerfall dsp with the multiface box. this gives you 8 in/out with world class converters and latencies down to 1,5 ms. it´s extremely easy to configure and run very well on most pc configs.
with creamware you gotta be more careful in choosing pc hardware as these cards are very demanding and seem to run best on wintel pc´s.
anyway the bottom line is: find out exactly what you need on the net, read review´s, check out specs. etc. but personally i would put my money on RME for trouble free operation and excellent quality.

thanks for the tips... rme might be a bit out of my budget, and luna seems to be good for what it costs.. in terms of problems I've read they dont work too well with Via chipsets but i am getting Asus which I hope is fine..
