Well im in a kinda dilemma ... tho my music is sounding good ... i want to put the extra in it ...
for now i use a soubdblaster live soundcard wit my headphonica... but i think there is a lotta distortion thru that ...
is it cos of the soundcard or shud i use better sound or monitors ??
and how imp. are monitors over headphone?
and how good is m audio audiophile ? |

causes for distortion can be... try to listen to both your sequencer (packed of plugins AND empty of plugins) and your music player (low volume AND loud volume):
- Bad Speakers\Monitors: if it distorts when you play loud it's your speakers... get new ones.
- Bad Soundcard: if it distorts some times (after listening for a while) or with a packed sequencer it's a soundcard problem... get a better one
if it distorts all the time it can either be a speaker, soundcard OR cable problem. try to put the cable away from thing that can cause interference (other cables or something) and\or test your soundcard with another speakers\headphones to find out what's wrong.
this is not 100% right, it's just my personal experience. |
