I found out a new problem on my macbook, which I havent been able to work my way around to fix.

I work in Ableton 7, with external Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 soundcard in OS X 10.5 (I think).

I have experienced a few times that the sounds hops or skips for just a few miliseconds, but very noticable, while playing a full set in Ableton. Been switching off all services running I dont need (Like bluetooth and airport), but it still happens once in a while.

Ableton is not overloaded, so I doubt the error comes from there.

Any ideas?           http://www.facebook.com/nasa.tranceproject

Did you try changing cables, checked all input/outputs and made sure you are using the right ASIO/MS.

If you are using 3.5>RCA and vice verca, try replacing them one by one to see if any of them are broken.

Let me know

I'd bet my money on the soundcard being the culprit here. I still dont find USB very trustworthy for mission critical stuff. Try with a FireWire card if you Can borrow one, or have one and see if the problem persists.           Mastering available here:

+1, I'd recommend this. Some time ago, when my live sets started approaching the 1000 clip range, this would happen. Adding more RAM and running my entire set from an external drive solved the issue.

I think the way to go is to stop making "Hardcore"... your computer will respond to this with polite and smooth behavior.           www.iono-music.com

Anyway... Yeah, a Firewire card would probably fix most of your problems (not counting your interest in Hardstyle)...
