theyre based out of santa cruz, california. if youve never heard of them I strongly encourage you to listen to a few of their songs especially from the albums artifact, interplanetary escape vehicle, and offered schematics suggesting peace.. their sound is in of its own genre. 5 total members.no lyrics all instrumental.their live shows are a one of a kind experience.
david murphy - bass
hunter brown - guitar
zach velmer - drums
david phipps - keys
jeffree lerner - percussion

i also saw them at Red Rocks 2 years ago. do you live around here or just visiting?
STS9 is decent music, i can appreciate what they do. some people really love them, but the few shows i've seen have been more or less mediocre with some good parts.
..it's just another party.. |

yea im from atlanta..made my first trek to red rocks this past sept...ya for some peeps its hit or miss but for me its definitely HIT.. theyve defintely changed their style up a lot, not to fond of the new album peaceblaster..they dont improv anymore and have evolved into perfecting each song and no more jams..regardless they are still my favorite band...have you heard of signal path? their from missoula and i think much better than sector 9 but they dont tour anymore..was tryin to see what others not from america think of sts9..they have a huge fan base in japan.. |

sts9 makes some pretty tasty music for sure. i was more into their older stuff than the direction they've been headed in lately, but such is life.
a couple of the TS guys got to play at their first festival at deerfields several years ago (harmonic congergence?) and i hear it was quite the good time...
luma, if you're in atlanta you should think about checking out some of the atlantapsy events out that way if you haven't already
