SOUND RECEPTORS @ CHILLI'S, Churchill Way, CARDIFF
(Next to Virgin Megastore, 10 mins form Cardiff Central bus and train station)
on Friday 2nd March
10pm - 4am £6 before 12am & NUS all night - £7 After 12am
Dont bother with the pub beforehand, get to Chilli's at 10pm - we have quality music from the start in both rooms and Chilli's has really fair prices on the bar!
All through last year we blazed a trail through Cardiff's Clubland with CRITICAL MASS and introduced the elements of Psychedelic Trance and Acid Techno to the city, and gradually introduced more Electronic Styles as we moved clubs and built up rooms. We're moving to Chilli's with this new regular night and taking with us the Psychedelic Trance, Techno and adding in some electro & house into a club that has had an upgrade to its interior and exterior and is under new management who understand and appreciate Quality Electronic Music. The club is kitted out with a Quality Soundsystem..what else can you ask for I hear, well how about an exciting lineup and a unique nights entertainment. In the Psychedelic Trance Room we have Mr Stripey from the Festival circuit Triban Collective opening the night with psytrance and related beats, then we have Dr. Nitrogen (aka Mudboy from Critical Mass) with Rahsan taking you progressively upto Cardiff's Seneca doing a Live Set of psytrance with a techy feel. Then our very Special Guest, one of the Tribe of Frog's best residents - Fda Fda with Psystream's DJ Hoax - who will be closing the night! Our 2nd room will bring you a mixed electro/house set from Dimitri, progressive techno & electro from Duvz, techno and a little old school from Ay-Z and acid techno from Mr Graham Acidic. Then to top it all off we have Amazing VJing as usual from '2 Cool 4 School' with more visuals from Joey!!
Probably one of the most exciting Electronic nights to hit the city, taking the finest elements from Critical Mass and presenting them in seperate rooms in a quality nightclub in order to give you the choice of style that you want, we know there are techno heads and psytrance heads and then the crossover crowd and now you can choose your style for the night.

Theres a rumour that a few of the ressies will be spinning a few tunes as a Sound Receptors warm up at the Uwic Art College SU Bar just off Newport Road in Cardiff tonight (Wed 28th Feb) between 5.30pm and 8.30pm this evening, good luck on getting in though as you're meant to be a student, but I'll see if the SU Dude there can sort it with the security guard to let a few others in  |
