Hello all!
I will play first time on a party...my own songs...I produce all in Ableton Live...each track have about 15/20 channels...90% is VST...Battery, MuonTau, vanguard..etc...
Playing directly on Track File (unrendered)...I have 10/15% of CPU usage...but when a flatten the channels, the cpu usage up to 30%...with 32bits samples...

About the sound quality...forgetting the cpu usage...what´s the diference between Play on a audio channels, or in vst channels????

...I don´t have a good monitor but I see the same results playing on the 2 methods.

Anyone can tell me about there?

thanks!

I would rather bounce the tracks to audio and keep only a few (Main synth leads) as Midi tracks, because the Audio track can only play what is in the audio file, whereas a VST can introduce random impulses that sometimes are not noticible....

What im trying to say is, you have more control if the sound is a wave file

Personally i prefer to have no present Midi tracks at the end of my session, because sometimes VST can go corrupt, especially if it is W@r3z.           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

With 32-bit audio files there should be absolutely no difference in quality between WAV and VSTi. If you're playing live I'd recommend going for whatever method you find to be most stable on your computer, whilst still allowing you to tweak stuff or rearrange the track.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
