hello
a few days back i was playing a chillout set at a club ...for a change i started with some glitchy idm (tycho, studio pankow, helios etc), but it was a real terror the sound was jarring real bad and i had to constantly fiddle with the gain, mid and high's .....but as soon as i changed the set direction to psychill and dub viola!!! all issues sorted ...so i wonder if anyone has faced the same problem and if theres anything iam missing?           New mixes on

@Justin
I dont think so ...

i have studio pankow in original format and another track with a glitchy overtone which i have in wave is "Shulman - Zero Degrees" ...i faced the same problem playing while playing both of them even though i have these in original wave format ....

regarding tycho and helios well those were 256kbps mp3 but cant help it i like only 1 track from their albums so i wont buy unless they offer me a wave download at a reasonable price ...

comming back on topic ...was doing some reading on idm and i have a mate of mine who is a sound engg. ....he says its probably due to the much wider audio frequency spectrum idm producers use which are made from custom designed synths which probably require a really high quality sound setup and moreover these tracks have a different headroom while recording ....

still looking for solution!!          New mixes on

try to mix at zero db equalization on your mixing desk, and increase the sound on the amplifier, i guess that will help you alot
