hi! can anyone help?
i'm trying to generate the sound of foot-steps in the woods... but it has proven to be mighty dificult
any ideia how i can generate this or sample it from ???

Just an idea , Tru to gather some branches , twigs , and leafs and grass , ( should be possible finding ) .. in ur studio , put something to protect the floor with ( some plastic or newspapers , important they dont generate sound ) .. and now put the things u found on floor , and make a forrest in ur own studio .

lololol... i've already imagined that...
if my sampler was portable i'd get it to the woods and sample it
maybe if i can find some cassete recorder to take to the nearby wood (the place i live has great outdoors nearby... i would just need some boots to stomp on the ground and a mean of recording it all)

Get a pc game like one which has people walking in the woods and all, all pc games have wave files just find the one and take it...Also all have high quality waves which is important to have high quality sound if you want to put it in the music! |

well... not ALL the games have their wav files avaliable for us to play with them...
i might try to get them from DVD... blairwitch?

In the latest Jan Michele Jarre cd there are some footsteps like the you said. I think there is no music playing when they are sounding, so you can sample them. |
