hi all
i need some help in some technical matters.
i have soundfonts files which end in .sf2
how can i use them and which program do i need 4 it?

I think you can convert those using AWAVE to wavs

maybe your question is : what are they for ?
the sf are "patches" for the synths that support them
(sblive's synth, some software synths and samplers)
they are loaded into RAM, and played back via that synth.
they were invented in order to overcome old soundcards' wavetables, and make use of a bigger RAM.
hardware:
u can use them with sfloaders for cards (they're shiopped with cards like sblive, AWE(many versions) etc., few samplers also use them.
software:
Audiosynth VSTi, Halion VSTi., EX24 Logic virtual instrument, and maybe others.
you can build/dicompose the sf2 files with Viena SF studio, Wavelab, and other audio editors.
